FOCUS & INTENTION
Why would anybody want to run?! Seriously. Have you been on a run lately?
I have met people that absolutely running. (I think they’re crazy.) They run in marathons, they enjoy the casual 5k’s, and they even enjoy running on a treadmill!? Why?
Running isn’t fun for me. It requires a lot of focus and effort. It just isn’t enjoyable. Yet people run.
Running the race we call life requires many of the same things: discipline, focus, and intention.
There are a lot of reasons we run this race. One reason is because we run to receive a crown that will last forever. There will be a day that we will be judged for how we lived our lives. As a believer, this judgment is not about heaven or hell. This judgment is about how we stewarded the life God gave us.
This life we have is a gift. If we want to run this race well we must handle what God has entrusted us with carefully. We must know where we’re going.
We are headed to a prize that will far outlast this life—So run with focus and intention today.
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.” – 2 Corinthians 5:10
