As a follow up from Sunday’s teaching, let’s try a meditation on the three scripture references we used to show how God longs to make all things new. Remember, God promised that all of His promises are fulfilled in and through Jesus.
So, when the Apostle Paul tells us to “meditate on these things”, he is teaching us to STOP – FOCUS – PONDER – PRAY over what is good and right and helpful.
Step 1: Take a deep breath in through your nostrils and hold it. Then slowly let it out Do ttthat three times.
Then let the weight fall off of your shoulders and breth one more time.
Read: 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. The new has come – the new is here, These are the words that God promises – the old you – it is gone and the new is here – it has come.
Then read: Revelation 21:5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Then Pray: God, I am claiming your promises and ask you to make all things new today. My family, my relationships, my job, my income, my decisions, my friends…and then claim that promise as the new you and step into Jesus and connect with Him.
Imagine your day, your family, your meetings, all those that are in your life and imagine all the things that God can make new if you choose to take His BIG DEAL and make all things new in your life – what kind of life would that be? Impact you might have?
Then close with this one statement – Thank you God for making all things new…in Jesus name Amen.
See you tomorrow morning!
