The heart of the matter is your heart.
We have all heard the phrase, “It’s just a matter of the heart.” Our hearts are a big deal. The Bible tells us that our heart is the seat of all our actions. The heart reveals who we really are and what we really value. It is at the center of our feelings, desires, passions and thoughts.
Throughout scripture God places a big emphasis on our hearts. It’s what He’s after.
“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is completely His.” – 2 Chronicles 16:9a
God desires a loyal heart – one that is completely His. A loyal heart does not turn back, but surrenders completely and daily to the will and the leading of God. When you have a heart like this, God shows Himself strong on your behalf (Read Psalm 25:14).
It’s interesting, the power of God doesn’t rest on the talented, wealthy, respected personality. God’s power rests on the heart that is fully surrendered to Him.
You can experience God’s best and His fullness today. But you can’t have His best without first surrendering to Him.
God is after your heart. Let go and trust where He leads. Follow him and find the work that he has planned for you. Then you’ll have no regrets.
