At Sugar Hill Church we desire to help #sugarhillstudents develop a solid foundation with deep roots. We believe God has a "best" for our lives, and want to help students discover and live God's best. As we encounter Jesus, heart-change naturally comes from Identity in Christ. That heart-change leads to mind-change and Maturity in our faith. With maturity comes a sense of Responsibility, which leads committed and equiped followers of Jesus to be a part of world-change. We experience these things through our Wednesday PM programming called The Gathering, and our Sunday AM Small Groups!
Grounded For Life
We've developed a Comprehensive Spiritual Growth Plan for Students that we call Grounded for Life. This plan encourages and equips students to develop a deeper understanding of their Identity, learn what Maturity looks like, and how to take Responsibility as a follower of Jesus. Over the course of a student's progression from 6th through 12th Grade we ingrain 9 Biblical Principles that will transform a student's walk with Jesus for the rest of his or her life. Everything we do comes back to modeling and teaching this plan.
Wednesday Nights are a great way to get connected to #sugarhillstudents and see what we're all about. Wednesdays normally consist of food, fun games, worship, and teaching. Students learn through relevant, engaging topics aimed to help and encourage students to live their faith during the week. Throughout the semester, we have several fun Invite Nights planned, where students are encouraged to invite friends to have a great time with us. Over the summer months we take a break from The Gathering, but our special event schedule can be found on the event calendar to the upper left of the page.
Sunday Mornings are an opportunity for students to create lasting friendships and grow deeper in their faith through Small Groups. An amazing team of adult leaders invest in students through age and gender-specific small groups, teaching our Grounded for Life curriculum. This relational group time helps provide a Biblically solid foundation for navigating life, and create bonds among students that give them a support network to deal with whatever challenges may come. Grab a copy of our GFL Booklet to see exactly what your student's grade level will be studying. Sunday mornings throughout the summer months are large group teaching times at 11am (MS in the MS Room, HS in Underground).
