"Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience..." - Colossians 3:12

In verse 12, Paul begins describing attributes that are to be fruit of the gospel in our lives as followers of Jesus.

Heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience are to characterize our lives. Notice, however, that building on the idea of putting off the old person and putting on the new person from verses nine and 10, Paul says to "put on" these things.

This action requires intention, such as putting on clothing requires our daily intention. Even further, amidst a context where preparations for your work must happen every day.

Whether you work in the field, in an office or at home, you intentionally prepare for your day. That includes a routine. We brush our teeth, shower, dress, eat...you get the picture.

Putting on the fruits of the new person in Christ require intentional routines as well. It requires devotion - a true sense that time with God and in His Word must both come before and be the motivation and clothing for all of the challenges that Kay before you day by day.

Today: Choose to intentionally dress yourself in the New Person - A true reflection of a follower of Jesus.

See you tomorrow. Go in peace!
