COVID-19 Resources

god is bigger than coronavirus

God is still in control. He is still on the throne, and He is still with us. There’s never been a moment when He hasn’t been. Let us keep our hope and our confidence alive in Him. Now, more than ever, the world is searching for a peace that passes understanding. Let us be the light in the world during this seemingly dark time. Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” So let us keep our thoughts fixed on Him, today and every day.

We remain confident of God’s constant presence and careful attention to all that is happening. During this season, our leadership has decided to make the call to cancel, postpone, or modify events on a week-by-week basis. As the situation in our community and nation changes and more information and best practices are released, our response will adjust accordingly. For the week of March 16-22, all events on campus have been cancelled. Join us on 3.18 and 3.22 for a special gathering online.

General Health Tips and Best Practices

While we will not promote panic because of coronavirus, we do want to take steps in ensuring that we are doing our part in communicating best practices and remaining as safe as we can! At the end of the day, we know that it is God who is our refuge and strength, and our ever-present help in trouble.

In the coming weeks, and potentially months, we encourage you to be hyper-aware of these signs that could be coronavirus:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Body aches
  • Fatigue
  • Sore throat
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest

Please continue to ensure good health practices such as appropriate hand-washing, covering coughs, sneezing with a tissue or into the elbow, and disinfecting surfaces. If you do experience any of these signs of coronavirus, or any sickness, please stay home!

The uncertainty of this outbreak is creating anxiety in our workplaces, schools, and day-to-day activities. Don’t let the fear of this virus overtake the knowledge that God is in control. Please join us in praying for those who are affected by this illness, as well as for their caregivers and those who are working around the clock to minimize the impact of this virus.
