beyond the grave | easter series
Our Easter series is called Beyond the Grave, and it’s all about the hope that is found in Jesus! As believers, we know that Jesus was raised from the dead on Resurrection Sunday, and that He has forgiven us of our sins. What a reason to rejoice! Join us for this series on Palm Sunday at 9:15am and 11am, and on Resurrection Sunday at 7am, 9am, 11am, and 5pm.
palm sunday | April 2
Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter, remembering the day Jesus traveled into Jerusalem before He was crucified. When He arrived, people welcomed Him by placing palm branches on the road before Him as a sign of honor. This year, Anna Beth Havenar from Light of Messiah Ministries will be with us, walking us through the elements of the Passover Seder. We’ll gather together for Palm Sunday at 9:15am and 11:00am. You can join us in-person or stream on Facebook or at live.sugarhill.church.
Maundy Thursday | April 6
Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper among Jesus and His disciples. This year, we will provide a short, meaningful way for you to walk through communion from home! Join us for a livestream at 6:30pm (and on demand afterwards) online as we walk through the Last Supper. This video will be available on Facebook and Youtube.
Good Friday | April 7
Good Friday is the day Jesus was cruicified. We will gather together and remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us. Join us at 6:30pm at Sugar Hill Church for a beautiful night of worship as we remember what this day means, and as we look forward to and prepare our hearts for Easter Sunday. You can register for childcare through this link.
*This gathering will not be live-streamed.
Holy Saturday | April 8
Holy Saturday is the day between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. We can only imagine what this day must have felt like. One of the most important things we can do to prepare our hearts and our community for what God wants to do on Easter Sunday is to spend time
in intentional prayer. We will send a prayer prompt to remind you to pause to pray morning, noon, and night to refocus our heads and our hearts on the Lord. Join us on Holy Saturday by signing up through texting the word ‘prayer’ to 833.482.6846.
Easter Sunday Gatherings | April 9
Easter Sunday is a day of celebration as the stone has been rolled away, and Jesus is alive! We’ll have a Sunrise gathering at the Bowl at Sugar Hill at 7am, then we’ll gather at 9am and 11am in our Worship Center, then we’ll have a gathering at 5pm in our Chapel where we’ll get to celebrate baptisms! We will have regular Kids Ministry programming for infants – 5th Grade during our 9am + 11am gatherings, and childcare is available for infants – pre-k at 5pm through this link.
Join us for an Easter Sunday gathering as we worship and celebrate our Risen Savior!
Frequently asked questions
+ WHO’S INVITED?
Everyone! There’s never been an easier time to invite your friends to an Easter gathering. We love seeing familiar faces and new faces around Easter! We invite the whole Sugar Hill community to join us for these powerful worship experiences. Maybe you’ve been around church your whole life, or maybe you’ve never stepped foot in a church before, either way we want you to be part of what we have going on around here.
+ WHAT’S IT LIKE?
Our gatherings begin with a time of worship – our music is contemporary and is meant to be engaging and heartfelt, while seeking to focus our hearts and minds on God. Our teaching time during our gatherings reflect that we believe the Bible is a big deal, Jesus is the biggest deal, and we live those truths out by serving folks here and around the world.

- There are two parking garages, one underneath the E-Center, and one underneath the City Hall lot
- Parking is available at SHC, and we’ll have transportation available to get you to The Bowl
