Easter in Sugar Hill
Why, Now? series | march 1 – April 10
This Easter season, our hope is to keep Jesus in the forefront of our minds. Why, Now? is a series that will begin by understanding why Jesus is the Only Way, why the Lord calls us to obedience through baptism, and why He desires to use the local church to do Kingdom work. Then, we’ll dive deep into some Red Letter teachings from the New Testament as we remember the incredible gift given to us through Jesus’ death on the cross.
Ash Wednesday | February 26
Ash Wednesday is traditionally seen as the beginning of Lent, the 40 days leading up to Easter. This day is typically commemorated through ash being placed on the forehead to symbolize our lives, which are mortal and temporary. This year, we’ll have an Ash Wednesday gathering at 7pm, and it will be an evening to cast our cares upon the Lord. Collectively, we’ll take this as an opportunity to seek God and surrender to Him.
Palm Sunday | April 5
Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter, remembering the day Jesus travelled into Jerusalem before He was crucified. When He arrived, people welcomed Him by placing palm branches on the road before Him as a sign of honor. We’ll gathering together on Palm Sunday at 9:30am and 11:00am in the Worship Center.
Maundy Thursday | April 9
Maundy Thursday is a time for your whole family to come together and take Communion in your home as we remember the final Passover meal. Join Sugar Hill Church for the online stream on Facebook or live.sugarhill.church starting at 6:30pm and repeating every half hour through midnight as Pastor Chuck Allen walks us through this meaningful evening.
Good Friday | April 10
Good Friday is the day Jesus was cruicified. At Sugar Hill Church, we gather together and remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us. We would love to have you enjoy this gathering together with your family. Join us at 7:00pm at Sugar Hill Church for a beautiful night of worship as we remember what this day means, and as we look forward to and prepare our hearts for Easter Sunday.
