Our beloved Susan Roebuck went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2020. Susan brought light everywhere she went. She always greeted you with a smile, and she never wavered in her faith. She served faithfully in our church, local schools and community for two decades. While our hearts are saddened, we know that when she reached Heaven’s gates, she was greeted with “well done, my good and faithful servant.” If you’d like to donate towards some local missions that Susan was passionate about, click here.
Due to public health concerns related to COVID-19, there will be no on-site gatherings until July 26. Join us online for our virtual gatherings, streaming at 9:30AM and 11:00AM. Click here for more information regarding our plan for COVID-19.
We’re not perfect, but we’re the perfect place for folks who aren’t.
“Loving, friendly, welcoming, serves the community and various places all over the world. Always there to jump in when something is needed. Casual, non-discriminatory, great pastors with messages relevant to real life. Believes Jesus is the biggest deal and if you get Jesus right everything else will come. Great Pastor, Kids Pastor and Student Pastor! Worship Pastor brings awesome praise music every week! All in all, best church I have ever been a member of!”
Like every church, we have a full doctrinal statement outlining what we teach. But these are what we call our “Big Three” – the foundational beliefs that drive who we are as a church.
The Bible is a Big Deal.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Everything contained in the Bible has a purpose, and it tells the story of God’s love for humanity. The entirety of the Bible tells the story of God’s redemptive plan for us, revealing how we can have a right relationship with Him through His son, Jesus. It’s a guide to discover and live God’s best for our lives, lives that are filled with joy and purpose.
Jesus is the Biggest Deal.
Because we believe the Bible to be God’s truth, what it says about Jesus matters. Everything in the Bible points towards Jesus. We believe His claim that He is the way, He is the truth, He is the way to life, and that He is the only way to God the Father. We believe that if we have a right understanding of who Jesus is, choose to trust Him for salvation, and obediently follow His commands, we are able to experience and know God’s best for our lives.
We live this out by serving, here and around the world.
Jesus was the perfect example of love and service to others. When we understand the Bible, when we know Jesus, it leads to a desire to demonstrate His love through serving others. We desire to care for people, not because it’s a program or activity at the church; we believe we are representatives of Jesus, commissioned to love others here in our community and around the world.
Something for Everyone
Church is so much more than just a Sunday service, and we want you to know that there’s a perfect place for you at Sugar Hill Church.
Sugar Hill Kids
We love our kids! We have services specifically for your Pre-K to 5th Graders as well as childcare for any child who is younger. Our Kids ministry team does an amazing job relating with kids and meeting their needs.
Sugar Hill Shine
SHINE is Sugar Hill’s special needs ministry where we are able to connect with families affected by disability. Our ministry offers a class each Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00 in a quiet, sensory environment for friends who may be overwhelmed by small or large groups for their age.
Sugar Hill Students
We love providing students with opportunities to grow deeper in their faith through small groups and Wednesday gatherings. Small groups meet during the 11:00 hour on Sundays, and our mid-week programming happens on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00pm.
Sugar Hill College
If you’re 18-24, we have a place for you at Sugar Hill Church! Our goal is to walk alongside young adults as they continue to discover and live God’s best in the next season of life, whether that's college, workforce, military, etc. College Ministry meets most Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm. You can expect awesome fellowship, amazing food, and powerful teaching.
We want everyone to have a place to belong and be cared for, but also a place to be encouraged and strengthened in your journey with Christ. Small groups meet at a variety of times and place, both on campus during our normal Sunday morning programming times, and on and off campus throughout the rest of the week!
